Scholar Heart
Our Heart, is very much what motivates us to strive to be better at everything we do, with the ultimate goal of supporting the advancement of the clients we serve. For us, we only wish to work with companies/business owners who can share in the ethos and ethics that we at Scholar and Partners hold dear and pride ourselves on. Our heart has 3 major components, our:
- Social Heart
- Environmental Heart
- Corporate Heart
Social Heart
At the core of our Social Heart, you will find two overriding principles that we adhere to –
Environmental Heart
Respect of the environment is and continues to be a cause we are most passionate about. We have only “one planet” and it is the responsibility of each of us to do as much as we possibly can, personally and professionally, to protect and maintain this beautiful home we have.
We strive to make meaningful decisions when it comes to the rational use of the resources, we have available to us both within the business, and when we are at home.
Initiatives such as, the business working towards being 100% paperless (currently at 96%), is high on the agenda.
All recyclable material used within the business is separated and collected responsibly.
Where possible, all business meetings are done on a remote video/teleconference basis, cutting our carbon footprint, from not having to travel to meetings both domestically and internationally.
In the event when it is absolutely essential to meet physically, we plan to schedule as many meetings as possible with clients in close proximity and any travelling between engagements is done on the local public transport provided.
Any charging of work-related devices is done in the evenings when there is not as much of a demand for energy consumption. All non-essential devices are switched off at the mains at the end of each work day, with no devices left on stand-by mode.
Where possible and practical, all office equipment and ancillary items is purchased second-hand.
We are doing as much as we can to help protect our environment whilst simultaneously not compromising on the level of service we offer to our clients.
Corporate Heart
Rather than focus on our accountability to various groups that may have a vested interest in the business (thankfully we are not tied to any group(s) or corporate bodies that dictate the direction of the business, or with anyone that does not embrace our ethos of keeping our client at the heart of the business), our Heart here is to focus more on the diversity and inclusion aspect of the business model.
Society has seen more individuals warmly welcoming the characteristic differences of nations across the globe and have embraced the rich wealth of knowledge and experiences people from different backgrounds can offer to their business.
We will continue to champion those individuals and business owners from all corners of the globe and support them with their ongoing success in business.
